primary bedroom has a queen bed and access to the upstairs second bedroom with queen bed is through the primary bedroom

The living area has a full size sleeper sofa, tv & access to high speed WiFi

The kitchen includes all essentials to prepare your favorite meals and a complimentary coffee bar is included

Within one mile of the farm you will find a darling wine & spirits shop, restaurant with bar & gas station

    the primary bedroom is on the first floor and access to the second upstairs bedroom is through the primary bedroom

    Guest Access

    The Farmhouse is your private space to enjoy, the hosts live on site in a separate dwelling

    Parking is available in front of the farmhouse

    Guests have access to the common areas, hiking trails, and can visit with the llamas at the fence or if they enter the pasture area in the Farmhouse backyard

  • We welcome you to pet and interact with our friendly Llamas if they approach you- please do not chase them or feed them food of any kind other than the treats we provide for purchase

    We cannot guarantee that the llamas will visit the backyard of the farmhouse during your stay, though they commonly enter there during the early morning and evening

    Throughout the year we host guests in our community for farm visits, llama hikes, and special events and these may occur during your stay

    entrance to the home includes a few steps on the porch

    drinking water

    the farms water supply is provided by a well, sometimes well water can smell like sulfur and the minerals in the water may leave mineral stains in the shower and sinks

    High quality reverse osmosis water is available for drinking and cooking on a separate spigot on the kitchen sink

    bedroom

    the primary bedroom does not have door, but has curtains for privacy which includes a queen bed, walk-in closet, room darkening curtains, and washer/dryer with soap for your convenience

    heating & cooling

    Wall unit heaters for colder nights can be adjusted on the unit and in-window AC units are available for the warmer months

    Bugs & Critters

    Though we do mitigation for bugs due to the nature of how old the home is you can expect to see them inside and outside of the farmhouse especially during spring-fall season and with the warmer winters we see a large increase each year

    We do not offer refunds for bug sightings!

    Bugs including flies, spiders, ticks, ants, asian beetles, box elder bugs, mosquitos, and wasps are common around the farm and creatures such as coyotes, raccoons, opossums, rabbits, birds, mice, bats, and snakes all call Prairie Patch Farm home as it is a wildlife refuge and nature preserve

  • Guest Policy

    The farmhouse capacity is 6 registered guests

    We do not allow parties or large gatherings, however we welcome additional friends/family who are not on the original reservation during your stay for a day use fee

    Up to 6 additional visitors are allowed per day for a fee of 15.00 per person and each guest must sign our liability waiver

    Pets

    We have a strict NO PETS POLICY for the safety of our animals and yours we do not allow pets of any kind during your stay as llamas consider them a threat and it can alter their behavior to be more on guard and aggressive

    hikes are seasonal from April-June & September-November and will be weather permitting

    After booking we will set up your hike time
